  • Condition: This is an interesting old silver butter dish. I am sure there was probably a glass insert at one time along with a knife, but have gone missing over the years. There is normal usage wear, a few dents on the turned down rim and it does need to be polished to once again shine brightly. Check pictures.

    ANTIQUE DERBY SILVER QUADRUPLE PLATE BUTTER DISH
    Super Nice Old DERBY SILVER Co. Butter Dish.   Derby Silver started in 1870 and produced Fine Ornate Silver Pieces-this is a Quadruple Plate-which means it has 4 layers of silver. It is in very nice condition-the extra plating allows this piece to have endured nicely-normal usage wear.  There is some discolor in spots which I tried to catch in pictures. t -No dents on dome but there are some minor dents on the edge of the turned down rim.  Nice finial handle at top.   Check pictures
