Product Description:
Pettit ECO HRT Bottom Paint is a copper-free antifouling paint that utilizes the latest technology available to create a hybrid paint film strong enough to handle the tough marine environment without building up over time. Pettit ECO HRT's smooth durable paint surface wears away over time, eliminating paint build up and the need for sanding. Because ECO HRT is copper-free, it is safe for use on aluminum-hulled boats. Provides excellent antifouling protection and can be hauled and relaunched without any loss of effectiveness.
What is HRT? Hybrid Reactive Technology
features high density biocide utilization to maximize effectiveness, along with film modifiers to reduce yearly build-up, maintain color consistency, and lower weight.
What is ECO?
ECO means the paint contains Econea instead of copper. Econea is copper free biocide that offers amazing protection at very low concentrations. Pettit HRT ECO contains 6% Econea which has shown in testing to be as effective as bottom paints made with 50% copper.

How to Apply Pettit ECO HRT
ECO HRT is easily applied by brush, roller, or spray. When rolling, use only a high-quality short nap roller cover. Apply using thin coats. ECO HRT has a tendency for settling to occur, especially if the paint has been on the shelf for several months. Thoroughly mix the paint before using. Before using, check the sides and bottom of the can to make sure all the pigment has been mixed in.
